New Needlework Projects

I've had five weeks (two left!) of winter break from college.  I've been taking advantage of the time to get some knitting and crochet done.  As a side note, school starts in two weeks, with five classes in the line-up, four of which are online.  I also just got an invitation to join Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success (honor society)!  Most likely due to my high grade point average, which I am grateful to maintain.

The projects:
The first project are two sweaters.  The second, two tea cozies.

Mine, in progress.  I'm waiting on the purple yarn to come in.

Lion Brand Pattern (FREE):  Turtleneck sweater:

Yarn: Knit Picks Brava Sport Yarn in Eggplant, Fairy Tale and Solstice Heather.  It will be striped front and back with the collar and sleeves in Eggplant.

Fairy Tale (more of a dark fuchsia than is shown here)

Solstice Heather

Progress so far:

The stripping goes Fairy Tale at the top, eggplant in the middle, and solstice heather at the bottom.  More later.

Sweater I made for Ash just before Christmas:

This book (got at Walmart) and  Red Heart Super Saver Worsted Weight yarn in Perfect Pink and Orchid.

While I was waiting for my other yarn to come in, I made these cozies.

I had some crochet cotton to use up - in ecru and a variagated browns/greens and used size # 6 needles.

I had enough crochet cotton to do two of them, which is good, as I have two favorite tea pots about the same size.  One was a gift from my late father-in-law from England, years ago.

Now to use leftover yarn to make a pad to put the teapots on.
