Speaking of resurrections...

I'll be resurrecting old loved crafts in the near future: Inkle weaving (in the process of building a loom), Leatherwork, candlemaking (from scratch), soap making (also from scratch), beadwork/quillwork,  and scrimshaw.  And possibly other primitive and various crafts and some costuming.

My main love is the primitive craft area. It goes with my love of Muzzleloader Rendezvous, Civil War Reenactments and Renaissance Faires.  However, I will be doing quite a bit of modern houseware and gift items, such as the tea cozies, dishcloths, aprons, covered buckets, jewelry, knits/crochet, and doll clothes. I hope to get things organized soon on the needlework group - more on that later.

Two other crafts I want to get into are ceramics and glass bead making.  The former I've done before, and hubby says when we can, I'll get a nice kiln.  The latter I've not done but have been wanting to for such a long time. I've always been fascinated with the melting of glass and making of the beads, which also requires a kiln.  The ceramics will be more primitive ware - cups, plates, bowls, bread warmers, etc. - mold and shape clay rather than pouring slip into a mold. Though, if it takes off, I may do that as well.
